Mid-summer murder at the Pavilion

More than 80 would-be crime busters descended on Noble’s Park Pavilion on June 25 to solve the mystery of who killed George Hargrave.

The Victorian murder mystery event was organised by the Henry Bloom Noble Library and created by award-winning crime novelist Martin Edwards, who acted as host for the evening when local actors played the suspects and took part in a question-and-answer session led by Manx Radio’s Bob Harrison.

Borough librarian Jan Macartney said: ‘The event was a sell-out success, with enthusiastic audience participation and very convincing acting from the cast who interpreted Martin’s inspired writing and complex plot magnificently - to the extent that it’s fair to say we’d kill to hold another evening like it.’
