'TTriumph' for Neil

TT 2011 may be over but for Douglas resident Neil Quane the memory will linger on, after he won first prize in the annual Henry Bloom Noble Library TT quiz, which this year celebrated Yamaha’s 50th anniversary.

The 25-year-old won a print of Yamaha rider Valentino Rossi, donated by Extreme Art and Gadgets, and a signed copy of acclaimed sidecar racer Dave Molyneux’s The Racer’s Edge, donated by The Lexicon bookshop whose proprietor, David Ashworth, said was his store’s best-selling book during this year’s TT festival.

The Lexicon also donated a copy of Between the Hedges and a signed limited edition of Yamaha at the TT Races 1961-1968 as prizes.

In addition, the library’s TT mountain course centenary quiz was won by 20-year old Geoffrey Moore from Douglas who won a signed print of record-breaking TT winner Ian Hutchinson.
