The Specsavers Crime Thriller Awards 2013 shortlist announced

We are pleased to announce the shortlist for the Specsavers Crime Thriller Awards 2013:

Best Thriller Dagger shortlist

New Writer Dagger shortlist

  • Norwegian by Night by Derek B. Miller
  • Something You Are by Hanna Jameson
  • The Necessary Death of Lewis Winter by Malcolm Mackay
  • Shadow of the Rock by Thomas Mogford

We have all of the above books available to borrow from the library and have arranged them together in a display on the first floor.

The winners of the Specsavers Crime Thriller Awards 2013 will be announced at a ceremony at London's Grosvenor Hotel on 24 October. The ceremony will be televised on ITV3 on 29 October.

In the six weeks leading up to the Awards, ITV3 will be screening the Crime Thriller Club, a new TV programme for fans of the who-dunnit. Alongside interviews with famous faces from the crime thriller world, the programme will feature Book Club and Living Legends features:
