Hilary Mantel Wins Man Booker Prize For Second Time

The prestigious Man Booker Prize was won this year by Hilary Mantel for her novel Bring up the Bodies which is the second book in her Thomas Cromwell trilogy. During her acceptance speech she made reference to her 2009 Man Booker win with Wolf Hall and said she would now go on to write the third part of the trilogy.


Bring up the Bodies is the first sequel to win the Man Booker Prize in its 43 year history and Hilary Mantel is the first woman and first Briton to win twice.

Both Bring up the Bodies and Wolf Hall are available from the library.
